I'm not sure how it works, whether it's something you learn, something you develop like a muscle through repetition, or something that just seems to happen like and epiphany, or a moment of pure clarity.
What the hell am I going on about? The ability to have the "cohones" to walk up to a complete stranger and either take his/her photograph or ask to do so for no apparent reason to the person being photographed.
It's as if being a "big boned", 6'2" tall, unshaven guy, raising a humongous black machine with a glass eye to my face, and taking a shot, is ok.
Before, it was the same old question ringing in my head. How the hell am I going to take some stranger's picture without getting chased, getting the shit kicked out of me, or offending? Since the past week or so, it's been more a question of how should I frame it, getting the camera set up so as to not waist any time taking the shot, and remembering to just smile...
