James Nachtwey's TEDPrize

In 2007 photojournalist James Nachtwey (more about James here), considered to be one of the greatest war photographers of recent times, spoke at TED. You can see his TEDTalk video below.

If you can't see the video in your RSS feed or email subscription, just use this link.

James was one of three to win the 2007 TEDPrize which gave him $100,000 and the resources of the TED community to grant him a "wish" to change the world. James' wish was:

"I'm working on a story that the world needs to know about. I wish for you to help me break it in a way that provides spectacular proof of the power of news photography in the digital age."

On October 3rd the story breaks all around the world. See here for local dates and times at locations near you. If you live in Australia you're going to have to be lucky enough to be in Melbourne's Federation Square at 09:50 on October 4th.
