One of the comments on this shot was that "sometimes symmetry looks so great." I have to agree. Although there is the rule of thirds and the offset subject that attracts the eye and attention, sometimes, symmetry is just better.
They say that the mind searches for symmetry in the natural world. Maybe that's why it's more pleasing or relaxing to the eye to see something symmetrical.
